The South Texas Blood & Tissue Center launched an initiative to honor the victims of the Robb Elementary tragedy through a community-driven effort that combined remembrance and action.
The project included developing a name and logo identity that embodied themes of unity, resilience, and hope, while inspiring blood donations to support critical emergencies. This initiative aimed to transform collective grief into a positive impact, fostering solidarity within the South Texas community and highlighting the life-saving importance of regular blood donations.
The name “Unite for Uvalde” conveys a powerful message of solidarity, urging collective action to honor the Robb Elementary victims while inspiring hope and resilience in the community.
The butterfly, a symbol of hope and transformation, is formed by two interwoven hearts, reflecting the South Texas Blood & Tissue Center’s double-heart emblem. Its gradient colors—purple for remembrance, orange for community strength, and the blend between them for healing—symbolize the journey from loss to unity.
