Talk About it Texas is a Healthy Futures of Texas project designed to engage young people in open discussions about sexual health. It provides safe spaces and reliable information, facilitating honest conversations among peers, parents, and educators.
The program’s bold identity—rooted in vibrant visuals and direct, conversational copy—is meant to resonate with its young adult audience. Bright, dynamic colors and modern design elements command attention, while straightforward, approachable language fosters relatability and trust. This cohesive identity reflects the program’s unapologetic authenticity, encouraging young adults to embrace openness, break stigmas, and make informed, healthier choices.
In a supporting role for the Talk About It Texas initiative, I contributed as the team member closest in age to the target demographic, offering valuable insights to shape the branding and messaging. I educated the team on contemporary language trends, including copy, phrases, slang, and emoji usage, ensuring the tone and content resonated authentically with young adults. My input helped refine the messaging to be relatable, engaging, and impactful, aligning with the program’s goal of fostering open, judgment-free conversations.
